Mr. Syed Ismail Buhari is a progressive and development-oriented Global HR Leader with over 20 years of multifaceted professional experience in building high performing teams.

Mr. Buhari (as people fondly call him) has done his Masters in Business Administration specializing in Human Resources, and Internationally Certified Practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming, Thomas Personal Profile, and Human Job Analysis Assessor. He is also a Diploma in Modern Applied Psychology, U.K. and a Certified Master Trainer (Train the Trainer). He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Inspirational Leadership.

His career has an equal blend of working for both Multinational and Indian Entrepreneur mindsets. He started his career with an IIM-Bangalore start-up IT Recruitment Firm and worked for Stanton Chase International - a Top 10 Global Executive Search Firm. Before starting Connecting HeaRts (CHR), he was with C&O Group, a Singapore-based MNC conglomerate handling multiple leadership responsibilities in Human Resources including heading HR for four countries - India, Singapore, Dubai, and Indonesia.

Being a positive thinker and lover of challenges, Mr. Buhari has always exhibited a ‘Can Do’ attitude and uses every opportunity and exposure to learn, unlearn and relearn. From a core Recruitment Specialist, he became a Generalist HR over the years by Connecting with HeaRts, focusing on performance, being analytical and implementing systems with the flexible mind set to engage employees and retaining talents.

Mr. Buhari is also a highly passionate Corporate Leadership and Life Skills Trainer. He strongly believes that Values, Positive Attitude, and Inspirational Leadership Style are essential for Personal and Career Success. He is widely travelled which helps him to understand different cultures and complex human behaviour. Mr. Syed Buhari connects with people at the human level, this makes him an excellent communicator and motivator. His training sessions are filled with energy and enthusiasm. His training methodology is participative and highly interactive giving opportunity to the participants to realize their true and full potential.

He is a motivational speaker, been often invited as chief guest by various educational institutions for giving valedictory speeches to students and is also an Advisor to various HR forums and groups in TamilNadu. In 2017, he was awarded “True Inspirational Leader” by a group of HR Professionals in an event at Chennai. In 2019, he was awarded “101 Top HR Minds in India” by World HRD Congress and received the award from Ms. Neerja Kumar Mangalam Birla.

And CHR was also accredited as “Best Enterprise of the Year (Services) 2022“ by MSME India Business Awards organized at Delhi.
